Filmed in 2021, The Batman transformed the iconic Press Halls of Printworks into The Iceberg Lounge, the nightclub owned by the movie’s villain The Penguin.
Released the following year in March 2022 the movie saw a new lead, Robert Pattinson taking on the role of DC’s Batman. Alongside Pattinson were Colin Farrell and Zoe Kravitz to name a few with direction coming from Matt Reeves.
Reeve’s took full advantage of the multi level space that is The Press Halls transforming it into a warehouse rave on the lowerground overlooked by a gentleman’s club on the upper levels. In first looks of the movie the lead roles can be seen grappling against the metal balconies and climbing the mezzanines. The Press Halls ultimately became the location for one of the movies principal action sequences.
