Dua Lipa hosts record-breaking live stream Studio 2054 at Printworks
Printworks recently hosted Grammy Award-winner Dua Lipa‘s instantly iconic Studio 2054 virtual stream. Featuring a plethora of venerable artists from the pop sphere such as Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus, Elton John, Bad Bunny, FKA Twigs, The Blessed Madonna, J Balvin and many more, the virtual streamed club night was a retro-inspired disco extravaganza like no other.
The huge success of this event saw it top the global record for ticketed livestreams, with over 5 million users viewing in its opening weekend alone, with support pouring in from fans and press across the globe.
“It’s all happening at Printworks, a multiroom club space and sound stage in London’s Docklands, where real newspapers were once made and make-believe now flourishes.
Stringent Covid testing protocols were followed, as for sports events and film sets. Most music live streams this year have been lonely, audience-free affairs run by skeleton crews, but just as Lipa’s second album, Future Nostalgia, dropped like mirror-ball ordnance into the middle of our first lockdown, unleashing frou-frou dance-pop into a world sheltering fearfully in place, her appears determined to bring a rash of human contact to people’s laptops in lockdown two.”
